MB2 Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports have tentatively reached an agreement to have Hendrick's 19-year-old Busch Series driver, Brian Vickers, run in the final four races of the 2003 Winston Cup season in MB2's #01 US Army Pontiac. Vickers, second in points in Busch this season, has already been announced as the new driver of Hendrick's #25 GMAC Chevrolet in Cup next season, but the team has been looking for ways to get him some Cup experience this season. MB2 has been using temporary drivers in the #01 since regular driver Jerry Nadeau's injury at the May race at Richmond, Va. Mike Skinner has been driving for the team most recently. "We've talked with Hendrick Motorsports and having Brian in the car is definitely a possibility, that's part of the reason we signed Mike only through Talladega," said Jay Frye, manager of MB2 Motorsports. "Brian's deal has not been set yet and if he doesn't end up doing the race, Mike will remain with the team the rest of the season. He has been doing a good job for us." Hendrick officials confirmed Saturday Vickers driving four races for the No. 01 was a possibility this season

Oh I cant wait to see him race, that's gonna be awsome. Hope he does good. Is Nadeau not coming back next year?

No, I dont think Nadeau is coming back this year contrary to some reports that he was.

oh....is he ever gonna come back, or with the 01 team, ever?

The question to ask here is, by Vickers running the final races in the #01 car in Cup, will this deter from his championship battle in the Busch Series?

Thats cool for Brian!!And for the 01 team.
Brian should have no problem running the final races and running for the championship! The only was he would be affected is if he got injured some how.

Resident Nadeau fan here, as much as I like what Mike has been doing the past few weeks in the 01(minus wrecking 2 cars last week) I am excited to see Vickers in the car. Also, Jerry plans to be back in the #01 next year starting at Daytona, I can't wait :D

Jerry Neadua will be back in the #01 US Army Pontaic Grand Prix @ the Daytona 500.

I am glad to see Brian go to the #01 car the last 4 races to get experience since that team is bascally the Pointac Test team for Hendrick Motorsports.

Nadeau dude, it's spelled Nadeau.

Good news for that 01 team. It'll be great to see him back in the car.
