What's the best vid software?
I have Windows 7 and Movie Maker sucks; freezes up frequently and there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Thanks. I tried removing and reinstalling the Movie Maker software but still no go.
I use Sony Vegas. I've used Pinnacle (Aavid) Liquid and Pinnacle/Aavid Studio, and they're okay, but terribly unstable.
Gopro and movie maker definitely do not always work well together. Especially in 60fps mode.

Roxio Video Lab isn't terrible either. Not as much functionality but it's stable.... and certainly better than Windows Movie Maker.

I've never had a problem with WMM, but it is a basic editor.
Yeah, what I found out is that it doesn't like avi files. I was able to use the mpeg4 files from Quicktime instead.
