I see where John Travolta will be the marshal for the 500 this year. Maybe he could do a flyover with his Boing 747. I wonder if Arnold Horshak will be in attendance? :)
 
John Travolta huh. That's cool. Oh, and it's a Boeing 707. Former Qantas jet. I believe he is however qualified to fly a 747.
 
I thought he got the 747, but what the heck. I also understand that where he lives, he can more or less park that baby very close to his home.
 
With his money, I don't doubt it buddy. Not sure of whether he has a new toy or not. The one that made the news months ago was the 707. It's actually an old plane though customised. Old or new, sure those babies aren't cheap. Just to fly one must be $$$.
 
Yeah, it's Boeing. I work for a company that makes some of the tools that they assemble the planes with.
 
Highboy, I have an uncle who worked his way up to executive vice president in charge of something up there in Seattle with Boeing. Back in 46, he and my father traveled to Wichita to see if they could get on with either Cesna or Boeing. My father decided later to go back to college and my uncle found work at Boeing. The rest is history. I have no idea what my uncle actually did for Boeing, but he's retired now.
 
That's cool! Shame what Boeing did packing their bags and leaving Washington. (Don't know if the move is complete) Business is not what it use to be.
