Marc Davis, a developmental driver in the Camping World East Series for Joe Gibbs Racing, had his second-place finish in Sunday's U.S. Cellular 200 at Iowa Speedway taken away by NASCAR after inspectors found the oil tank reservoir cover was not in place.

Davis was dropped to 44th, last, and other competitors moved up one spot. Brian Ickler won the race

Maybe Nascar is setting a new precidence here. Pretty strong message.

They took Peyton Sellars' win from him a few weeks ago. This is no surprise to me.

There's a message. You can't cheat until you get into Cup or Busch and have a crew-chief named Chad.

Tsk, tsk, Andy. Now you sound like RCR4Life.
I hope he isn't setting a bad example for you. (sigh) And to think I had high expectations for you in about, oh, let's say, twenty years. :D

Nope, it was just a lame attempt at a joke.

Guess nobody got the humor in it. :(

I do not think they should set the precendence at lower levels of NASCAR and then be a bunch of chickens and not do it at the cup level.

Unless by starting at the lower levels they ride the swell and start imposing the same at the upper levels. They could say well we've been doing it and now its going to apply to everyone.

Won't happen tho. The bookies in Vegas won't approve...
