I checked this place out saturday for the World of Outlaws, wow that is a nice facility. If you are in the area I highly recommend checking it out. It is like a mini version of a Nascar Cup track. Most dirt tracks are dumps, but this place is way nicer than most paved tracks.

Real nice track -- it's too bad they're only running 9 events. They're hurting more than most of the other tracks in the area.

Actually, they have 13 total races, including the fall classic. Each division will have 10 races (again, not counting the fall classic).

The only thing that's hurting VMS is location. First, this is smack in the middle of Nascar country. Second, it's in the middle of nowhere.

They did have a prety good crowd on hand this weekend, along with a great showing of late models (46 cars). And as usual, the track was good too.

They've got another big show coming up next month, WoO sprints.

I went to Fayetteville Track Friday...

Jeff Smith won it

Congrats to Virginia Race Winner Chris Madden and Jonathan Davenport for 5th Place

Heard a lot of people complaining about the track conditions at Fayetteville, but I wasn't there.

I heard the same thing... but I was at Potomac.

Unfortunately, all the big races seem to be run on the same weekend. One of the Virginia tracks or Maryland International Raceway are always holding a big event when ARCA, NASCAR or one of the other tracks have a national series in town.

I can't get to them all... hard as I try.

Building a new track now, its almost mandatory to locate them in middle of nowhere due to "Noise Ordinance" Regs.

Its sad I know, then you not guaranteed that you are safe doing that. Mega Dollar Subdivisions can move in and time and time again they can shut the track down or reap havoc on that track. Case in Point is track located around my area. People started complaing over noise and in order to keep track open the dirt racers must install mufflers, and now they are making them build a sound barrier wall around the entire track.... and its still ongoing in court system....of when they can open .... stay tune ...

Fayetteville had 39 cars but really 38 Jonathan Davenport broke rocker arms and did not run past hotlaps...

Glad you guys had good turn out in Virginia ~~~~~

Yeah, I went to Fayetteville too. The race was pretty bad, only 2nd to Eriez for the worst World of Outlaws race i've been to.
