Todos mis mensajes perteneciente a esta carrera van hacer en español. Yo soy Dominicano pues yo hablo ingles Y español!!! Va hacer una carrera increiblé! “La Pistola” Kyle Busch por fin va ganar!

I don't think the elevation is getting enough talk this week. I guess the track is around 7,000'. People from Charlotte area are going to struggle with this. I'm from the Midwest and have done a lot of work at Laramie,WY which is at like 7,200' and I can tell you even if you're in shape you'll be out of breath quick.

They are saying the course is at 7500 feet. Only thing is they all have to deal with it equally.

I live at sea level and have spent plenty of time above 6000 ft with no issues with short breath until over 10000 ft. I've been up to 13500 ( I think that's what the top of Breckenridge is) and definitely got winded quickly there. Everybody is different but most people are ok until 10000 ft.

Cannot believe we don’t have 2-3 more ringers attempting this race. It’s probably the best shot for someone outside the cup series to come in and run well.

Pretty tough draw with F1, IndyCar, and Le Mans all on the same weekend, and Supercars having only one week off between rounds.

Pato would’ve been there if there weren’t a conflict.

I'm a bit surprised more Cup drivers aren't attempting the Xfinity race. I shouldn't be surprised Legge chose to run the Cup race but it's a guaranteed start and bigger paycheck.

Can they put road-leveling shocks on the race cars to neutralize them to sea-level conditions?

OK I'll give it a shot

"If Tyler Reddick wins the race this weekend... something about a Mexican girl I guess."

"All my messages leading up to this race will come in Spanish. Being Dominican I can speak both English and Spanish(?)
We'll have an incredible race. "The Pistol" Kyle Busch for the win!"

Forgive me if that was completely wrong I never had Spanish classes.

Goodyear Fast Facts — Mexico City

GOODYEAR TIRE NOTES

NASCAR Cup Series – Race No. 16 – 100 laps / 243 miles
Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez – Mexico City, Mexico
Fast Facts for June 13-15, 2025

Tire:
Goodyear Eagle 18-inch Road Course Radials

Set limits: Cup: 3 sets for practice, 1 set for qualifying and 6 sets for the race (5 race sets plus 1 set transferred from qualifying)

Tire Codes: D-5242 (same on all four tire positions)

Tire Circumference: 2,279 mm (89.72 in.)

Minimum Recommended Inflation:
Left Front — 26 psi; Right Front — 24 psi;
Left Rear — 21 psi; Right Rear — 21 psi

Notes – Cup teams on COTA tire at Mexico City: Being on 18-inch bead diameter tires, NASCAR Cup teams will run a different tire than those in the Xfinity Series at Mexico City this weekend . . . they will run the same Goodyear tire code on all four corners of the car . . . this tire debuted at COTA in March . . . Cup teams are scheduled to run it again at Sonoma, Chicago street course and Watkins Glen later in the season . . . with this 18-inch tire, and its lower profile sidewall, Cup cars do not run inner liners in any of their tires.

Wet Weather Tires – Goodyear to bring white-lettered “wets” to Mexico City: Goodyear will bring its 18-inch wet weather radial tires to Mexico City for the Cup cars, should NASCAR determine that conditions warrant . . . Cup teams will have 6 sets of wet weather tires for the event, with a maximum of 5 sets for the race . . . NASCAR Cup teams last ran a wet weather tire in competition on the Chicago street course last July . . . in addition to the obvious difference of a tread pattern versus Goodyear’s dry weather “slick” tires, the “Goodyear” and “Eagle” lettering on the sidewalls of the wet weather tires is white, not the standard yellow.

Goodyear quote – Stu Grant, Goodyear’s general manager of global race tires: “This is an exciting weekend for the sport, with the first points-paying Cup race outside the United States. Pulling off this event has been an unbelievable undertaking by NASCAR and all its teams and stakeholders. Just the logistics involved in moving the entire sport down to Mexico City – with no disruption to the schedule, mind you – is an amazing accomplishment, and one that will move the sport forward and create a lot of new fans.”

I don't think it would matter. I have watched movies and documentaries about Mount Everest, along with Siberian stuff, without any problems or even touching the thermostat.
That's because you were watching them on cable. Mex City will be streamed, which brings a more realistic experience. Don't drink the water.

Altitude does matter on setups. We could not take loads over the mountains in I-40 in Arizona with Snickers candy bars. The altitude pressure changes would deflate the bars. It's roughly a 20 to 25% decrease in air pressure from sea level to 7,500 feet.

If I was the Snickers CEO, I would make deflated sized candy bars in Arizona, and then sale them as normal sized for full price at normal altitudes.

It's the opposite of that. The bars have shall we say mostly whipped air in them to start with, the altitude changes deflates them.

OK I'll give it a shot

Needs more Taco

I see the Haulers had an escort by the policia and Mexico militar.

Nah, they're just passing the convoy on their way to dump illegals back in Guatemala.

As I recall, they needed military escorts when the Busch series first ran there.
I’m sure F1 has some sort of escort when they arrive too. I just never really paid attention until I saw the videos of the nascar fellas on the socials.
