Voice Your Opinion-"Wide Open" Coverage

I like Wide Open.

I didn't see that many local breaks. :idunno:

Just goes to show no matter what you do, you aren't going to please "NASCAR Nation."

IS this the New Andy????

No, this is the "I love TNT, but will continue to complain about all other coverage" Andy. Funny how he can complain about everything else, but when people say anything negative about TNT, he pretty much says your complaints are just whining...

Ill agree with Andy on this topic. I did like it better than the normal broadcast.

I have to say that all of the networks suck with interviews at the end of the race. Robby Gordon did a great job and there was nothing. Yeley did an pretty good job of replacing fat boy and no interview. Throw someone else a bone every now and then instead of the same boring guys. I know they have to do the front runners but there was some good racing going on other than the top five guys. For some of those guys top 10-20 is a big deal. Jr. and Kenseth have got to give the worst intierviews in the history of nascar.

I've already said I don't like Bill Weber. But, he's not nearly as bad as having to listen to Jerry Punch's voice joined along side Rusty and Petree and Suzy Kolber.

I watched the Talladega race on FOX and they didn't show a single lead change or much or anything. Everything they showed was either from Digger or rear-bumper cameras where the picture was obstructed by someone else's front bumper. And DW's obsession with Kyle Busch got old ........ fast. He's worse than any pundit has been about Junyer. Kyle Busch could be out of the race and DW would interject "Well, if the 18 car, my boy Rowdy there in the 18 car, if he hadn't wrecked out I'm sure he'd be giving these guys a run for their money."

TNT's coverage was fair. When Kyle Busch won, they mentioned it, and interviewed it, but they didn't go on and on endlessly to the point that I had to shut the TV up with a boulder. With FOX, it just seemed like EVERYTHING was about Kyle Busch.

There used to be a time I didn't like Junyer simply because it seemed like the entire race revolved around him. With FOX, the entire race revolves around Kyle. And with ESPN last year, the entire race revolved around Jimmie. I can understand mentioning where the points leader is, but if he's in 15th, don't make everything about him. Kyle Busch may be statistically the best driver this season, but I can live without someone interjecting his name into every single conversation about someone. Darrell Waltrip was just downright annoying last year. I've never minded DW up until now, but now I can see why everyone called him Jaws. :XXROFL:

And, last time I checked, I wasn't the only one complaining about FOX's exclusitivity with specialty-cams or their obsession over Kyle Busch. :idunno:

I'm with you on that.

I would've loved to see them interview Robby.

Coverage was okay. They caught up a couple of things while being "away" for commercials that would have been missed otherwise.

I found it mildly distracting, but either way is fine, I DSR it so it doesn't matter much. Duane

Not much for it.. they did it so you could watch the race at the same time but Dang the commercials are my bathroom breaks..lmao

It was 'ok'. As far as the layout, I mean it really wasn't too much better...but myself, I liked the commercials being how they were during the race.
