Volvo has announced their intentions to enter NASCAR competition in 2014. Kia and Hyundai have also expressed interest in entering NASCAR.

Since people don't like a Japanese manufacturer in NASCAR... they would love a Chinese-owned Swedish manufacturer in Cup.

I needed a newer car for school one time and my BIL - who worked at a GM dealership - tried to talk me into a used Yugo which they had on the lot. I didn't go for it but I do wonder if it could've been any worse than the Mercury Lynx I bought instead :mad:

A friend's Dad bought him one to commute to school. Then it snowed a little, and the car slid into a curb at about 20 mph. Totaled it. Bent the frame straight up about 8 inches and turned it into a 3 wheeler. You could even choose which 3 by moving everyone to the right side. lol

LOL. Mine turned into wheel bearings, rotors, pads, shoes, timing belts etc. I got ripped...live and learn :)

For the record, I wonder what car Volvo would use in NASCAR if they actually did enter. Probably the S60, but wouldn't it be wild if they ran V40's in Cup?
 
If they ran Volvo's then Denny would be running this week lol. I still remember seeing those commercials in the 80's where they dropped a Volvo from 5 stories on its nose and it bounced and rolled away :)
