Two Homicides In Less Than 24 Hours In Waldorf
WALDORF, Md (WUSA) - A second man has fallen victim to violence on Crain Highway in less than 24 hours.
Officials say a man collapsed and died after walking into the lobby of the Super 8 Motel at 3550 Crain Highway around 7:40 Wednesday evening.
Witnesses say the man may have a been involved in an altercation in the parking lot the motel shares with a Hooters.
Diane Richardson, spokesperson for the Charles Co. Sheriff's department, tells 9 NEWS NOW the victim suffered upper body trauma, possibly stab wounds.
The victim has not been identified.
Police have no description of a possible suspect.
Another man, 28 year old Daniel Cordova of Waldorf, was found dead in the parking lot of Lowes located at 2525 Crain Highway in Waldorf around 8:24 Tuesday night. Cordova had suffered multiple stab wounds.
There is no word on whether or not the two incidents are related. The investigation into both homicides is ongoing.
