Walmarts Great Value food

OMFG..the girlfriend bought trail mix and choclate chip cookies...The worst tasting cookies I have ever had..The trail mix m&m and rasins were fine...All the nuts were really soft.. Also milk.....Tasted different than all the skim milk we drink. I told her never again. Pay the extra $.50 next time

Anyone else try this Great Value stuff?

I buy only 2 GV items --- sliced cheddar and the wheat sandwich bread for my husband. He likes them.

I do all my shopping at Safeway since I work there and get a discount on all Safeway brand products.

I like quite a bit of Great Value items. Now I stick to Diet Pepsi Max and Diet Coke, I dont like Great Value sodas.

The GV milk tastes just fine but I drink whole or 2% , skim milk is horrible no matter who makes it..

It was bad for me too at first...Got used to it tho. The GF makes me drink it.

Come to think of it, I buy the whole milk that WM sells. Hubby won't have anything else in the house.

I use the Philly cheesesteaks and make steak salads with them and use some of the microwavable steamer vegies.That's about it.

Hell, everything in my kitchen is GV brand.


Pretty much my motto is: if it's cheap, yeah, I'll eat it.

I learned my lesson about going in there. Full of mexicans(I'm talking crowds of them walking in and out of the store). It smells bad and I got some cakes from there that were out of date two weeks earlier. Now I should have looked at the date before hand but......
