Anybody else think Mikey was a bit harsh on Elliott during the Jarrett caution. I thought that was all set at the drivers meeting???????/

I think he should have smashed his car in to the side of Elliots, jumped on the hood, thrown his Hans Device and......uh, that's been done before. Nevermind! :p

Heck ya he was BE9ak, waltrip was crazy to be talking like that to Bill. The guy is turning into a Jr; just a little cry baby. He has no right to be calling Bill an idiot for slowing up when Jarrett is sitting in the middle of the track. I don't have the slightest idea of why he thinks that "racing full out" back to the line with Jarretts car sitting there with oil water and what not. If he was in Dales position, he would see it the same way. AND, Nascar said the LEADER dictates what goes on back to the line, and lil mikey has no say in it. Also who is he to be talking down on a man who career far exceeds his, and now once hes finally doing something halfway decent hes incredibly full of himself. Mikey is no longer a gentlemen in my book...

Michael let his mouth get away from him on that one.

IMO, he's also a bit to blame in the pit road business with Jeff Gordon. He should have been in the left lane when he crossed the line because his box was the 2nd one.

I have seen Waltrip set on tv and state that he was against racing back to the caution. Then when Elliot slows up he call him names. Man what a jerk.

It seems like drivers often say something and then do the opposite when a certain situation arises.

If any one watched the Inside Winston Cup show tonight Mikey clarified or re-stated what he thought Bill should have done. He said that Bill should have stayed up to speed until just before he came out of turn 4, thus eliminating a bunch of guys trying to get their laps back and the mad rush to the line. Gordon had no business being where he was on the pit incident and he admitted that. Like they were saying tonight both of these situations can be elminated by having no racing back to the yellow( long over due IMO) and having the cars come into the pit lane single file after they pass the white line. I hope tha Nascar changes these rules for next year.

I thought I remembered him saying he didn't like racing back to the caution... practice what you preach....yeah right.

Mikey's just po'd that he is dropping like a rock in the standings...he's a marginal driver & his early season success has gone to his head.

Where do you get that from? Gordon should have not tried to go in that way. Espicaly when he had that space where you go into the garage to go in....and both of them know it was a mistake anyways. Mikey made no mistake in my mind in that situation.

But about the racing back to the yellow: what ever nascar says needs to be done.... if Mikey has a prob. he needs to discusse it with nascar. I dont think he's turning into a baby.

That wining was worse than what we see from Jr.....and we all know how he is regarded.

17fan summed it up best, hes pissed cuz hes dropped like a rock, and his team left the can in the car. Yep, hes marginal success has definetely gone to his head, I remember a day when he would never get any time on TV to voice his opinion...and it should stay that way.

Luv4, I never said Michael was the total blame.

JJ entered pit road on the left because his pit was the first one. IMO, Michael should have been on the left also because he was in the second pit.

Absolutely Jeff should not have done what he did. But, he was trying to push the envelope, and in today's racing, that's the difference between 1st and not first.

The regulation from NASCAR sez, a driver can travel through two pits before entering thier own pit area.

What Jeff did was a racing incident, not illegal or improper. If Jeff is guilty of anything it is his failure or the failure of his spotter - crew chief to tell him where Michael's pit was located.

Jeff was doing what any driver does. Every driver comes into thier own pit area, two pits early. In this case, it didn't work. Fortunately, Lady Luck sprinkled her magic the crew members who were involved and Jeff Gordon.

If passing were to be eliminated on pit road, a review of the incident shows very clearly that Michael was in the second lane of traffic giving others the idea he might be traveling further down pit road, when in fact he was setting himself up for a clean entry and exit from his pit stall. Not an excuse for Jeff Gordon, but another one of the split second decisions that drivers must make and this time it did not work for Jeff or Michael.

In a previous post, my opinion was, no passing on pit road, in agreement with Michael. After rethinking my opinion, must agree with Hardscrabble and others who feel to eliminate passing on pit road would create more problems than it would solve.

GOSH, but I hate to say I was wrong !!!!!!!!! :D

No, it isn't.

In the event I make an error by providing misinformation or exercising poor judgement, it is my practice to admit the error and extend an appology to the offended party, if one is warranted.
In this case, Hardscrabble made a logical presentation, in direct opposition to my earlier opinion and upon reflection, I concur with his viewpoint.

Yes yall are right....dang. It didnt hurt Micheal so it's not really a big deal, but I did laugh when it happended (not about the crew, bc it was a stupid mistake). And Micheal knows the gas can was a mistake...I think most know it was. But it's over and that was a good race...cant wait until next week.

Luv4...any gal that likes the #8 is probably pretty cute...so I forgive! It's the drunken idiots that are about your age that like the #8 that are total ass clowns and think they know more about racing than Richard Petty that I can't stand! hehehe.

Whiz!!!! I was trying to give ya some guff!!! You've been giving it to me for a while. This was the first chance I ever got since I'm not an old racing pro like yourself!

To say I'm highly disappointed in Mikey is an understatement.
