I'll also give it a 6, certainly no higher.

Kahne did what he had to do, kudos to him.

I liked the race.

I think the best car won. Drafting or fuel had nothing to do with winning. So it came down to who was the best at setup, driving and planning..
My guy had some bad luck, but I enjoyed the race anyway.
Betsy ;)

kahne did not have the faster car...he just simply had a huge lead..dale jr and jeff had a much more fastest car than kahne

How exactly did he get that huge lead ?? With the best car. Congrats to the #9 bunch.

I feel really sorry for Reed Sorenson cuz he had the lead BIG TIME going to the White Flag lap and ran out of fuel! Shame on his boss!

oh hi there..i though you had put me on the ignore list..anyway

to answer your question he got it by that green flag pit stop everyone had to make...

7, tv coverage 3
8/0

NBC, get your act together. Maybe NASCAR will realize without a pay cap, if we get much higher in contract value, the race will be measued as 500 commercial breaks instead of miles. Can only hope ABC won't be so bad with it next year.

9 had a good car, but was not the best just pitted at the right time.

i did not watch the whole race so i cant give it a fair rating, but there were to many dang ads.

Not sure what race you were watching , but Kahne clearly had the fastest car the last half of the race. That could be why he lead the most laps.

Oh ... and i'll give it 7 only because my guy won, other than that it was kind of a hohum race...boring.

I give the first half a 4 and the second half a 7, Even tho I dislike the 20 and the 48, I fely bad for the tv fans that the only air time they got was throught the field.....pretty wierd.

Reck, The fastest and best car did win. The 9 was upfront all day lead the most laps, came from the back after speeding on pit road and won the race.
Just because the 24 and the 8 gets some fast laps in at the end doesn't make them the best car.

The 9 was fast no doubt. However, so was the 24. Who would have won if Jeff had not had the pit screwup is questionable.

I'll have to give it a 4. The racing was probably great but with the coverage only concentrating on a few cars we seldom got to see the racing.

7, tv coverage 3

I'll agree with this 7 for the racing (that if you strained at times could see beyond what they were showing you.) and having usually being there knows how good the racing really is and I rate higher then.
3 for the TV coverage, but that is certainly on the high side.

Kat, in 2007 NO NBC at all, it will only be TNT for those 6 races. Unfortunatly "Blonde" will still be there.

Anyone, notice how full the stands looked? Bobbyford how did the crowd look being there?

TNT is sister station to NBC so pretty much the same crappy coverage

did ya forget about who was runnin the fastest laps with about 50 to go, I was watchin lap times and jr. had clearly the faster car in the last 1/4 of the race, even jeff had a couple of fast laps in there.

Sorry, Kat. I'll give it a 8. Don't care for the outcome, but lots of green flag racing & if not for the fuel mileage/pit strategy thingy at the end, would have been a 9.

Even just watching on the Telly, I really enjoyed the race.
Gotta give it an 8+. Still wanna know what happened to Robby Gordon
when he was running so good!!! Far as I know, they never told us.
Kasey, ran the smart race, fastest??? maybe so, but he did win!!!

I'll give it a six as well. To all of you who don't believe that Kahne had the fastest car...so what. The guy you might have wanted to win didn't and there's a reason for that. His team wasn't as good and don't give me any of this "well, he didn't have to go to the back" crap.

I always love this sort of talk from the also rans. Maybe next time, those cars that are the best will win...then again, maybe they won't lead the most laps or win either.

Bunch of sour grapes if you ask me.

I will say overall, Kahne had the fastest car. However he was not the guy with the fastest lap times.

I think you have mis-read some of the other posts. Kahne won a race under tremendous pressure and his whole team performed admirably. He deserved the win as much if not more than any other driver on the track.

Sour grapes, who asked. :D

Don't forget folks, the only lap that REALLY counts is the LAST LAP! Kasey and Team put him there, and that's ALL that counts!

Who are you trying to kid? Go back and read that those people really did have sour grapes in that their driver didn't win when they thought they really had the car to beat.

Yep, sour grapes. It wasn't as though Kasey won like he did the night before, but even that was done by strategy. If he had been the last car to pit before a caution, then that would have been nothing but luck, something that my old fav Elliott did at one time.
