I really enjoyed it, despite the fact that MY Jeffy didn't win!

I LOVE ROAD COURSES!!!!!!!

Really not wild about road courses but it will pass. I will give it an 8.

Not much into road courses.........though Watkins Glen is the best of the two we have races on!! Not a bad race overall...........too bad it was a road course, else I could have gone with a 9 or 10 considering my guy made up some of the ground he lost recently with his injuries!! :D But, the right and left turns brought it down to a 7 for me!!

LOL, De_W2, them right and left hand turns are what
make it exciting for me. I love roadies!!!!!

I give this race a 10 as well, even though Jeff and the
whole HMS tribe did not fare well.

I hate road courses.

0. Slept through the whole thing except the last 5 laps.

Now everyone put themselves in Tony's place. He had "stomach cramps".....everyone knows what that is. He wants out of the car but by the time he can get out of the car it's too late.........might as well finish the race now. And he wins...........dispite the problem. Then you get some really asinine pit reporter chasing him for a quick interview!

I think I would have punched him, myself!! Where is the respect anymore? He had a problem. He did his job. Now, because of the publicity he has to face the world about what happened today. Who of us over the age of 18 hasn't had a similar situation? Did the whole world have to know about it? I think not. It wasn't funny.............it was pathetic.

I couldn't agree more. Well said, DE.

Tony did a wonderful, no, wait, make that a GREAT job, in two categories. One was his driving and the other his demeanor.

He was under a severe handicap and handled it the way a champion should.

I'll get under Tony's skin when he acts like an anal cavity.
In this case, Tony deserves accolades galore as he was uncomfortable and under pressure.

Bill Weber was only doing his job trying to get the interview as the allotted television coverage time was running out, and Tony, once again, despite his obvious discomfort and embarrasment, handled Weber and all around him with a clam demeanor and quiet charm. Weber handled his end with as much respect as he could, under the circumstances. Once Weber saw any possible interview at the moment was futile he gave up. As he should have done.

If there is anything pathetic here, it is the joy some people found in Tony's obvious discomfort.

I mentioned not to long ago once Tony got settled down he would begin to win and he has. There is a remarkable change in his attitude, it was shown yesterday as being first class under adverse conditions.

Rating the race.

First a big "ATTA BOY" to Tony, for all the right reasons.

The race deserves to be rated no less than 8 point 5.

A lot of passing and entanglements, some tempers flaring while one car and driver outclassed the field. There was the added denominator of living, driving, walking, talking proof Hendrick Motor Sports does not walk on water and they are not infallible.
Plus one great and funny quote by Sterlin' Marlin. :D

But, he relieved that pressure...
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I absolutely hate road courses. This one did have some drama. And, some comedy...bug eyed dummy. Some interesting twists...Shepherd jumping the curb and caving in Newman's side. A small shake up in the points...Oh, Jeremyyyy.
So, despite myself and Jimmie screwing up, again, I'll give it a 7.

It's a road course,so I'll give it an 8,would have been a 9 except for Jeff Gordon's problems late in the race. ;)
