If ya have access to the Speed Channel, they are showing the 1979 Daytona 500.

If you have never seen it, the race has a finish you will never forget. Guaranteed!
 
i remember seeing that reace on speed befor IT was a killer one
 
Isent this the one that Jr or someone was talking about the Cale came back from 2 laps down to win the race kinda like hoow Jr almost did??
 
I liked it when they interviewed Rod Osterlund and asked him about Earnhardt.....

Ned- "Rod, did you think your rookie driver would be upfront running with the leaders?"

Rod- "Yes we did."

Cale didn't win the race....maybe not the battle either, then again it was two against one! :eek:
 
Oh It must of been the year befor because i can remember mrn talking about it or something

That was a good finish!! I saw only one good finish this week that wa in the truck race!!!
