Didja notice Ward in the post race interview?

Every driver I saw looked kinda like a horse that's been rode too hard and brought in wet. But not Ward.

In his interview he looked like he just stepped out his coach fresh and ready to go racing. That after battling hard all day and running with the leaders. Brought it home 5th and led the most laps while he was at it.

Johnny Benson's was the same way. He was cool, calm and relaxed. Kinda like he just ran 500 pace laps

Ward had an awesome car today. I figured either him, Ricky Craven or Jimmie Johnson to win it after Jeff went out. From my third row seats, I could see the action on the frontstretch and in turns 1 and 2 and Ward was just so smooth it was cool to watch.

Thanks for rubbing it in :(

The car went sour for about 100 laps, otherwise he looked good. He didn't hit the wall anyway, and nobody took him out. All in all, a good day. I'll take it.

:D Ward had a good strong car. Thought he would take it to the checkard.

From my 40th row seats, could see the whole track and I thought Ward had the car to beat. Sure would have been nice to see him in Victory Circle/Square as the case may be but guess not this time.

By the way, did anyone see Ward on Trackside last night? He was a little choked up talking about those kids he's helping when they asked him if he ever figured he had that much pull with so many people. Between him and Kyle, I about thought I was gonna cry half the show. LOL

Trackside on Friday night was one of the better shows they've done this year. The fact that they decided at the last minute to start the "Trackside" program rather than find filler for the rain delay of qualifying may have contributed to the spontanaiety of the show. A large portion of what makes the program interesting to me.

Ward, aside from filling in the story about the boy and his sister, also mentioned that he has some big plans for his wildlife ferderation which should be unveiled this winter.

He also said that Frank Stoddard, who was on the show as well, does talk faster than Baldwin did. But that the main communication issue was the volume, a problem they have now corrected.

For those who missed it, try to catch a replay though this message may be too late to catch one. Other guests on the show were:

Jack Roush
Kurt Busch
Chip Ganassi
Kyle Petty
Jerry Nadeau
