Ward Burton

I do too. I really thought he would get a ride with a really good team. I guess it wasn't meant to be. The top teams apparently are looking for a younger driver with what they deem higher potential. I think it is a mistake on their part, but it isn't my money. Therefore, it isn't my decision. :(

Hey, have you guys seen him race yet in the #0? No...we will just have to wait and see what happens, I am going to support him no matter what...It is a pontiac, and it is a new team, now they can mold the team around him, instead of having ward mold INTO the team.

Look at this way, he's now Pontiac's best driver, so that team'll be higher on the manufacturer totem pole.

There ya go! Thats positive thinking!! :D

I havent thought about that yet...

and look at it this way...was he going to get very far with BDR? <_<

I really hope it works out great for them. When you think about it every team had to start somewhere. And Ward is a very good driver. With the right equipment and leadership they could actually do pretty good.

I was hoping he would be driving a Ford so I could put some of his stuff on my truck B)

Seeing as there are no Pontiac trucks... ;)

Im just glad he has a ride and isnt going to be sitting at home.

Lets see what happens. The 0 car is a HMS chassis and Dorton engine. Might be a good move him. At least he didn't wind up in the 43 car.

Or the 49 and 14.

As I had stated in another thread, Ward is IMO upgrading. BDR is not held to highly in my book when it comes to the Winston Cup Series. I really believe the two orginizations are headed in the opposite direction with Ward coming away with the better end of the deal.

I dont think he's really upgrading, Pontiac has really sucked this year, least wins out of all the manufacturers and they dont have any high-powered teams besides Cal Wells's team.

However, I could be proven wrong.

But if Ryan Newman was in a Ford then Dodge would be hurtin too. Could be a nice addition to the Pontiac tribe.

Nice of you to give all that credit to neman Im pretty sure the engine builders and pitcrew at pensky would have something to say about that. I Think it takes more then a good driver to win 8 races and get 8 poles.

No offence to newman, but I think most of his wins this season have been gas races. Just ask harvick

We will disagree on this one. Newman IMO is the best driver right now in Winston Cup. The guy is damn smart, he knows how to wheel a race car. He has no fear. Yes he also has damn good equipment around him but I truely believe Newman and Matt Borlan could turn a pile of crap into a contender in no time.

Exactly, most teams have only one engineer, Ryan's team has two. With an engineer for a crew cheif and an engineer for a driver, they probably have a mathmatecial equation worked out on how to win poles and races.

Must be some welfare comin for pony-ack. Why else would he want in that thing?
