ATTENTION FRIENDS!!!!!!!
Got this from Russ (an internet pen pal) about a nasty bug being sent about using an email news release that tries to tempt you to go read all about our pal
Osama Bin Laden being captured. Nick Says avoid this site like its a plague!@!!

If you get an email like this--- DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY!
Then go right then and empty your deleted emails folder.

Friends.....WATCH OUT FOR THISI checked it out and this is a BAD EMAIL
(not the EMail itself but the LINK it asks you to click on.)
Please read it for yourself.? ? This is a link to SNOPES, a very reliable computer virus checker.?Urban Legends Reference Pages: Computers (Osama bin Laden Captured) http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/osama.asp?

There are few headlines that would grab the attention of more computer users around the world than "Osama bin Laden Captured," and that's exactly what whoever created this lure was counting on to snare unsuspecting victims who
use Microsoft platforms.

Also, various forms of the Nigerian banker letter is still going around. One comes from a woman with a title about "Save My Life". Another comes from some "Reverend".

Be careful out there.

According to snopes it's the real thing. And also according to snopes Microsoft has a patch that plugs that hole in Windows. Go to Windows Update and get it........heck check Windows Update daily and get any critical update offered!!

I'm with Bucky......it's hard for me believe people are so careless and clueless that they can't see spam for what it is and then to be so stupid as to open an attachment. Especially an attachment that is an executable!! Common sense.......a little goes a long ways. That and a good anti virus and firewall. But those don't help much if you don't keep them updated!

Not only do I keep up-dated, I don't open anything that doesn't have a familiar name attached. That's one reason I use my yahoo email for everything I do on the 'net. They send most of that stuff to the spam box.

Don't ever use your ISP email for chat rooms, forums, etc. Spammers will scan member lists to get email addys.
