Basic plan comes with FS1 and NBCSN. Plus you can use your PS login to watch Fox and NBC (as well as FS1 and NBCSN) network races on their respective apps.

My stepdad got tired of Cable increasing rates on us, and switched to Satellite instead. We will be switching internet soon as well.

The Good: We get OAN now- cable news with a broadcast news format outside of prime time. :waver: The Bad: No more NBCSN or FS1.

How should I watch cable races? I'm thinking my best option is going to a bar, but any given bar may play audio for a different channel instead. I've considered listening to radio, but TV and radio are separate broadcasts.

I'm not considering streaming cable packages at the moment, even though it may be cheaper in the long run.

We do it with a combo. of Sling TV, NBC SportsApp. and Fox Go App.

I have satellite and get FS1 and NBCSN. Might want to review your plan.

Is your stepdad considering switching to satellite internet? That's a horrible idea.

And even if you can't get DSL or cable internet, you still should never get satellite.

Better to just use your phone's hotspot. Way faster than satellite, unless you have Sprint, and same data limits essentially.

DirecTV's basic plan doesn't have sports channels, and my stepdad doesn't want to pay for the next tier up.

Heck no! AT&T internet. For some reason, my stepdad didn't switch TV and internet at the same time.
