Man....

To call this guy a guitarist is an insult. He was a vessel...the music just flowed out of him...he channeled it out through the guitar. Watching him play it's almost like he's not playing a guitar...he's just...like...flowing...hard to describe.
 
And I'll take his Voodoo Chile over the Hendrix version ANYDAY. Flat out blows Hendrix away, there is not even a resemblance between the two. Vaughn was the best ever, hands down.
 
Not much argument here. SRV is easily in my top ten.

I been on a Robin Trower kick lately. Ever listen to his stuff Paul? Very Hendrix influenced, as were most of that era, but he over-does NOTHING. Very understated style that just shreds in places.
