Right now the cable, i believe, is a 3/16" square cable, not dissimilar to a speedometer cable for older vehicles.


They need to make it half an inch or so with a torx style ending and a lip for a 2 piece retaining panel on both ends so it won't strip out or fall out of the recepticle.

From a safety standpoint, good design.
From a performance/reliability standpoint, junk.
 
that's what i'm saying, they need to make the cable bigger and of a torx (or at least some other shape) design so that there is more surface area between the cable and the pump.
