The ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards continued its record of strong television appearances in 2010 at Saturday's Weis Markets 125 at Pocono Raceway, notching a 0.67 Nielsen Household Rating (515,000 households), a new standard for non-Daytona ARCA races since 2005.

The rating marked an improvement of 219 percent over last year's equivalent event from Kentucky Speedway (0.21). ARCA president Ron Drager announced Saturday a renewal of the broadcast rights agreement with SPEED that will have the network televise a minimum of 10 races in 2011.

ARCA raced at Kentucky last year in mid-July. On the very same weekend last year, ARCA raced at POCONO so how can they say it was an improvement over "last year's equivalent event from Kentucky Speedway" when last year's equivalent event was POCONO?

After thinking about it for a few minutes, I'll bet that Pocono was tape delayed in August last year? A live race at Kentucky would then be equivalent????

Well, seeing as hardly no one used to go the ARCA races at Kentucky, I suppose hardly no one watched them? :D

EDIT: Oh, and I thought of something else. Maybe Kentucky was even a live NASCAR trucks doubleheader like this was?

I think you're on to something. So why didn't they say it like that?

I don't even remember watching the Kentucky ARCA race last year, to be honest. I'm sure I did, but I don't remember anything about that race. Of course, a lot of the races last year were forgettable with the same two guys winning every single race.

Fast forward to this year where there has only been one driver who's won more than one race this season.

Speaking of drivers winning races, when's Frank Kimmel going to win a race? Surely he's not going to go winless the rest of his ARCA career? He has two real good chances coming up at Springfield and DuQuoin.

He was a strong contender to win at Berlin. He got spun pretty late in the race. I think he led the most laps there.
