Cowboys had to go to overtime to beat the Chiefs? Panthers had to dig deep to beat the lowly Skins? Bengals seem to be for real beating the Ravens. And will Tamps, St. Louis or Kansas City go winless? On the other hand, who's better...the Giants or the Vikings?

The Browns won one of the ugliest "professional" football games you will ever see. Derek Anderson completed just 2 of 17 passes for a record low of 23 freaking yards with no TD's and an interception, yet never saw the bench. If that had been Brady Quinn, he would have been benched, if not traded or cut, by halftime. The defense played pretty well. They kept constant pressure on the Bills QB the whole game. Of course the Bills only had one starting lineman healthy for the game, but we will take what we can get.

All of that being said, a win is a win. We'll take it and head off the Pittsburgh next week. I was actually breifly wondering what would happen if the Browns just decided not to show up for that game at all. I mean really, what is the point in showing up? The only thing that could happen by showing up is getting even more players injured. I think they should be able to just forfeit the game and take an extra week to celebrate their first win.

now you'll hear how much better derek is in the remaining games, assuming he does better. <g> would be kind of hard to do worse and keep your job.

Denver sure looks to be for real. Beating the Patriots was a big step and they are now 5 and 0.
