Not looking good at either Dover International Speedway or Old Dominion Speedway at Manassas.

Weather's supposed to be perfect all week, then rain Friday Night-Sunday Night.:bazooka::bazooka::bazooka::bazooka::bazooka::bazooka:

Bummer. Wonder if Dover has ever considered installing lights for night racing. I know a lot of traditionalists out there frown on NASCAR night racing.

Count me as one not among them.

I'd love for night racing at Dover, but right now the weather channel website had it at 40% chance of rain so I'm hoping it changes by then, I was there once I think it was 2007 when it was rained out and it was a 100% chance of rain.

I've gone to and camped at this Spring race at Dover for the last 15 years. I'm hard pressed to think of a time where it has not rained at one point or another throughout that weekend yet they almost always have gotten this race in on Sunday. I can only remember one of the Cup races being postponed until Monday during that span. That track dries pretty quick being concrete and such a high degree of banking. Even if rain is threatening, sometimes that makes for a much better race as most of the field is running harder to get to that half way point.

All of that being said this is only Tuesday and the race is five days away. If the 5-day forecast is calling for rain that day then why do they have to do a new 5-day forecast every day. Why not just do the weather forecast every five days? Oh, that's right. Just like opinions on this board, the weather changes all the time. :beerbang:

Yeah you are right I remember one year it was raining so hard sunday morning I was sitting in the parking lot watching a seagull flying overhead and it was going backwards, and they raced that afternoon. Then there was the Nationwide race I went to that it rained on and off all day and a 200 lap race took about 6 hours. The only time its rained out when I've went was the 2007 race when Truex won.

We were there those same weekends, that's for sure. I don't remember what year that Busch race was but my wife and I sat in between 3&4 for that race. I think that we had two torrential downpours during that one that had track drying efforts going on for long afterwards. I never though that they'd finish that one.

The rained out Cup race that you're talking about..... We had a group of five families and a couple of other friends that we all camped together down @ the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. That was everyone's first race with the exception of myself and my family. It was a downpour all day Sunday. All of our group were able to stay the extra day to get the race in. The crowd in the stands on that Monday exceeded what will be there this weekend. Bank on it.

Haha I was in turn 3 and 4 for that Busch race too thats where we always sit. Yeah I was there for that monday race, though got there just before the green flag because for some reason my mom forced me and my brother to go to school for the first 2 hours and then we drove back to the track, it was idiotic. I hope there is a better crowd then that though. Its going to be my girlfriends first live race, so I hope its a good one.
