Since I was booted out of Langley for the USAR race, I made another trip up Route 17 to my favorite track.
Under the most perfect sky yet, Virginia Motor Speedway ran their weekly show. VA Army National Gaurd / NAPA King William Night saw four divisions of racing, including the late models, modifieds, sportsman and limited stocks. The VMS slogan "real racing, real close" delivered again, with all the divisions putting on superb side by side racing throughout the pack, with plenty of passing and come-from-the-back victories. And point battles for all the classes heated up even higher, with both the modifieds and the limited stock being seperated by a single point with only two races remaining.
