Some of you know that I was afflicted with cancer recently, and my doctors focused on the obvious problem in my right kidney, where the disease had broken through the outer lining. The organ was successfuly removed, and I was having a good recovery until pain in my head began to noticably increase after I stopped using pain meds. After convincing my doctor that there was still something else wrong an MRI finally revealed that I have had three tumors on my brain, two on the right side that will probably be able to be dealt with with chemotherapy, but the other side has already advanced to the stage where risky surgery is the only hope.
The lesson here is to get checked out regularly, and always get a second opinion..

PB, don't give up. My hubby has been fighting lymphoma in the brain since January. All have been in parts of the brain where operating was not an option. He did chemo which took care of the first tumor. In June, he finished 20 whole brain radiation treatments and 5 BOOST radiation sessions. His last MRI had the docs absolutely dancing with joy.
