and my end recieved 10-15 dollars in worthwhile damage repair.

pics when i can get them. It took out mt left rear light cover, bent my bumper about 6" out from the truck, and dented the bed corner.

other car had the whole left front fender shoved in and part of the door shoved out. Driver said they didnt see the extra 4 feet of truck behind my fender (we were facing opposite directions at a highway crossover)

I already fixed the bumper by backing up slowly into a power pole on our property. Now it's about 3/4" off from where it should be and about 1" down.

Light assembly should be about 10 or 15 bucks from a junkyard?

The other person didn't SEE your truck?

Glad you got off so lightly.
we were facing opposing directions at a highway median crossover. She went to turn left and didnt see there was an extra 4 feet of truck and bumper on the other side of the fender and hooked it. Nice lady though, she took fault. Then i saw a dually on the way home in the other lane and realized what she was talkin about (i hadn't ever thought of it before) the big fenders really do hide a good chunk of "area" when you're right beside them in opposing directions.

I'm glad the damage will be easy on the wallet and that you are OK

I didnt even feel her hit me. All of i sudden i hear a bunch of metal bang together, look back, and see her backing up with her left front corner pushed in. So i got out, picked the tailight remnants off the road, and we pulled in a parking lot across the street and waited for police (and i called my mom on up).

I've been waiting for somebody to cleip either the front or back of my truck on the crossovers. It's just as long or longer then the median is wide so i have to really guessimate where the front and back of my truck is vs the road. Plus a foot long hitch doesnt help (it only comes out when a tow strap is put between it and a pole while unpinned- it's rusted in there good). So for anybody next to me to turn, they have to basically get as far to the other side of the crossover as they can then cut across 2 lanes.

I think i get worse or equal gas mileage to a cup car at michigan.

weighed 6680 pounds going into a rock quary once...weight in the high 8's on the way out...

Hmmm, sounds like me. Cept'ing I don't got no truck wrapped around me.
And, I'm pretty bad on passing gas by the mile too...

it was a buick (you can see the fender emblem in the tailight pics) not real sure what model...it was a small sedan.

Did you back into someone like Denny did Tony?

Bawahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, glad you're OK. A truck saved my life one time by being in the middle of a jerk in an SUV who "fell asleep" (or something) at 4:30 pm on a weekday and sent a Ford F150 right into the back of my little compact. He totaled all three vehicles. My first ambulance ride, but luckily, all I had was soft tissue injuries, although those suck cuz they take so long to heal. Had it not been for the truck, I would have ended up in my engine. Yikes! Was even more scary when I saw the damage to the back of the F150. The front of the truck looked like it had almost no damage. It's front tow ring ended up in the back of my car, but it hardly looked like it had a scratch on the front. Can't say the same thing for the back. It was scary looking.

Be safe now, ya hear!! :)
