Well, I golfed for the first time today

The only time I had ever golfed before today was a 4 man scramble a few years ago. I didn't get very many shots and I didn't do very well when I did.

I took it up again recently and joined a league that starts in a few weeks. I bought new clubs and joined a player development program at a local golf course. I had one lesson this morning and then I went and had lunch and came back to play 9 holes. It was really cold and the wind was blowing at about 15-20 miles an hour. The wind made it feel like it was about 20 degrees. I played anyway.

Par for the 9 holes was 35, I shot a 90. I don't think that was very good to say the least.

But, I can only get better from here right?

Well actually it would be hard to shoot much worse than that on purpose.

I sort of half-tried to shoot a poor score so I would have more room for improvement. :p

There was a lot of snow still on the course and that probably added several strokes to my total too.

AAAHHHH, I like a man that always goes into something new with a plan.

Hey, you gotta have a plan. How else would you know if it worked? ;)

You are absolutely correct.

I am bloodied, but even more determined to get better at this game. I have never been worse at anything the first time I really tried it. This could be a long year if I don't get much better quickly though B)

Once the snow melts and the weather warms up, you'll improve. After a few lessons, you'll be ready for the pro tour. B)

When you get famous, please remember all your friends here at the forum!! :D :D

Yeah, that is likely

If I become famous for anything related to golf it will be for going postal on someone when the game really gets to me :dual9mm: :p

This rule helped me knock about 5-10 strokes off my game.....

"It's doesn't count if no one saw it...."

REALLY comes in handy in the rough stuff!
