no im not pregnant yet.

the company that i work for was bought out.sav-a-center will be rouse's.my interview is monday.as of this moment,i run the flower shop w/no help.hopefully i can be rehired and get help if not i'll look elsewhere.cross your fingers and toes.i'll let you know what happens.
 
2 main people from Rouse's came in.all interviews were cancelled.however we were all told that we are keeping our jobs and will keep the same pay.when they found out that i dont have an assistant or help that seemed to bother them.they seem like nice people and i am excited to work for them.interviews are at the end of the week.we have to fill out applications for legal purposes.everything changes oct. 8.i have to hang in there.hope these people can put up w/me.will keep u posted.
 
Hmmm, a job opening to run the flower shop...where do I apply...Oct 8...I hope you don't live too far from me... ;)
 
I could've used your help yesterday. had plants to put out, built 2 displays for the 100 garden mums,orders to fill,arrangements to do, process all cut flowers that came in,and water all the plants.oh and gift items to do w/balloon bouquets.

No, no I'm more of the point and grunt type Manager. You shouldn't really expect me to actually get off my fat behind and do manual labor do you?
See that's the problem with this country, not enough people willing to accept orders... :D
 
i happen to be one of those people that can walk and chew gum at the same time.

i can work and cut up at the same time.they've been days where a rose was my mic. :p
 
BP, so now I have a picture of you, which is certainly different than your avatar. Fat butt. Just how fat is that butt of yours. :) Maybe you should push away from the table more often and shun those Krispy Kremes. Oh, when you do that, pass them over to me... Hmmm, that reminds me of a song way back. "Pass it over to me!" :cool:
 
speaking of food, I 'm going on a diet.hey buckaroo the next time my hubby brings home something fatening like crawfish nachoes i'll send it your way.:p
 
the interviews were set back to 5 days before the take over.new date is oct 29.since i've been undecided about staying or not, i asked for help.this past monday, they hired me an assistant.in all the yrs i begged for help it fell on deaf ears till now.since i'll be staying now wonder if i can negotiate a raise?still hanging in there.

Hey guys need advice.I don't think my new assistant is gonna work out.

here's what started the fight. we were doing centerpieces and hers looked like a child took a handfull of flowers and put them in container.it was so tall that when i stood behind it, it hid me. i asked her to trim it down some.that's when fight started. she said bunch of stuff but what really ticked me off was when she said im 67 and older than you,i know more than you,i don't need or want your advice/lessons.i don't care what u like or don't like,im gonna keep doing things my way.

my response was since you know so much than why isn't your liscence hanging up on that wall? you'd better care what i like or dont like if you want to keep your job.
Im very hurt by her comments and feel disrespected.i will give her one more chance after that im firing her.
am i being too harsh?what would u do? any advice would help.thanks.
 
NO you are not being harsh! She needs to wake up and learn the world doesn't revolve around her. She's probaly too set in her ways to change, yet you are still growing.
Knowing you as well as I feel I do, I believe you are on the right track.
 
My Aunt had a flower shop here. That is one reason she closed it is because everyone wanted to do stuff the way they wanted and not the way she wanted. It was her name and reputation that was on the line not theirs.
