distractions, like the phone, TV, radio, or what ever worldly noise that
surrounds you and let yourself be absorbed into the images and the music.

I've seen that before and really enjoy watching it. Some of those paintings are of modern times and others of the 1800's. There are some that remind me of my youth visiting family in western Kansas. One of the early pictures actually looks like an uncle of mine who was a "real" cowboy...and still is at nearly 90. Many of the paintings, probably most, sure wouldn't have been from either northwestern Oklahoma or western Kansas because there are mountains in the background. Those could have been in Colorado, Wyoming or Montana, or for that matter, many other mountainous states.

If any artist were to paint any of the cattle roping done when I worked on the farm, they would have painted a man in the back of a pickup, trying to rope a straw calf. If you ever want to see something hilarious, that will make you laugh until you cry. :)
