Whacky weekend in College Football

Michigan got beat 28-20 by Notre Dame, who was a 2 touchdown underdog in that game.

Mighty Nebraska got their butts handed to them by a team I don't even remember right now.

Kansas State got embarrased by 30+ points

Missouri and Oregon were 2 other top 25 teams who lost this weekend.

My Ohio State Buckeyes narrowly escaped a similar fate at the hands of Marshall. Ohio State needed a 55 yard field goal with 2 seconds to go to avoid overtime and a possible derailment of their title hopes in just the second week of the season.

While the Buckeyes scared the heck out of me, I am just glad the week is over and we are still alive. And rather amazingly the Buckeyes should move up in the standings.

Oh yeah, did I mention Michigan lost? :partytime:

We'll see you 10-09, we got you covered...I hope :p
That might depend on which Justin Zwick shows up for that game.

Zwick who is from nearby Massillon, Ohio looked like an all-american in the first three quarters of that game and like a guy making his first start in the last quarter. The guy has a ton of talent, but like any other new college quarterback he will be very inconsistent for a while.

Wisconsin always makes me nervous though.

and Ohio makes us nervous, you just never know in the big 10.
well there is one thing you know for sure in the big east. you can't spell suck without su...

even though we beat buffalo 37-17, buffalo missed 2 or 3 fg's, and su only scored 2 tds because of blocked punts, one returned from the 10 and one recovered on the 1 yrd line.

to be honest, i was rooting against su for the first time ever saturday. after getting blown out against purdue 51-0, i was hoping a loss against buffalo would finally send the message to our ad that coach p has to go..

I am an IOWA fan...(fan of all IOWA college teams), but when the Big IOWA-ISU rivalry game comes around I am IOWA HAWKEYES all the way. The BIG 10 is gonna be tough this year; especially Purdue. With Kyle Orton (Altoona, Ia native) is gonna be tough to beat, and this weekend with his 5 touchdowns...You can tell they are TOUGH! Oh and by the way Iowa beat ISU this weekend 17-10...GO HAWKS!!!!!! :bounce:

Preach on Sister!!!

Nitro, I'm a former Iowan and those days of Fry were something else. As a native Okie, and a Sooner fan, I'd like to thank Hayden for Bobby Stoops. :)

Oh yeah, and 4x, the Cornhuskers lost to Texas A&M who aren't powderpuffs. Look for them to climb until they play the Sooners. One will survive and the other will dive.

my orange had a chance to knock of florida state. we were up 10-3 going into halftime. the score should have been hire but we missed a feildgoal and fumbled on the 3 yard line. the refs blew call that should have given fla st a safety and us another two points. but coach p really lost us this game. he came out from halftime coaching not to win the game, but to not lose the game. we played way to conservative. it looked like we were trying to run the clock out with 10 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. but fla st was up 17-13 with about 3 minutes left in the game and there was tv timeout after the change of possession after a punt. after the tv timeout we had to call a timeout because we couldnt get the play in or have hte correct personel on the feild. that was awful... we played a good game but i think if anyone but coach p was here we definatly wouldve won that game. coach p has to go....
