Okay, we all know that Earnhardt the senior made loads of money from his NASCAR carreer, and the sale of souvineers, but in racing earnings, even with his seven titles, he made less money than his son already has. How bad is Mikey Waltrip? He has made just less than 3 million less that Bill Elliott. In his six years of racing, Jimmie Johnson has made over 4 million more than Ricky Rudd. And in seven and a 1/3 years, Ryan Newman has made just 3 million less that Richard and Kyle Petty put together. Oh, Kyle has made nearly 20 million more than his father made. Last but not least, Jason Jarrett, in only two races, made just less than a third of the money his grandfather made in 352 races.

Very interesting in deed.

Interesting stuff the money made by todays' racers buys a lot less than what it did back in the day of Ned Jarret. I had a meeting for my 401k the other day, in 20 years a million dollars will actually get you just about half a million. In other words due to inflation it is only going to be worth half as much.
