What a great time we had at the Cavaliers game last night. The seats we got were excellent. We stopped and bought Lebron James jerseys at Sears on our way. The Cavs lost the game and were obviously playing a much better Minnesota Timberwolves team, but that barely mattered. My son actually likes Minnesota quite a bit and is a big Kevin Garnett fan. So even though the T-Wolves won the game he was still thrilled to get to see Kevin Garnett play in person and do very well. I can't tell you the last time we ever had as much fun together as we did last night. Definitely Priceless! :D

It better be a great game at 8000.00 for tickets.

Hey, 4x! Just wanted to say,

I told you so!!!

Glad you had a great time with the son! ;)

That was kind of my thought process on the jerseys. I figure every time he wears it he will remember that night. You can't put a price on that kind of thing. ;)

How did Lebron do?
Actually Lebron scored 19 points and had a few spectacular plays. Thanks for asking. :)

I hope that youngster keeps his focus on his future and doesn't get caught up in the hype. He has talent, without a doubt, but fame can corrupt a young mind.

Yeah me too. He has an aweful lof of money, fame and attention for a man of 18 years old to deal with. I can't even imagine how many gold-diggers he runs into in a given week. Just dying to have his baby to get a piece of his purse. Sadly, that temptation has proven much too strong for many NBA players. He seems pretty level headed so far, but it is still very early in the game so to speak.

I just hope than when he does make the inevitable mistakes that he doesn't let too many kids down in the process. He is developing almost a "cult-type" following among today's youth. My son thinks Lebron is great, but we are pretty careful about making sure the kids understand that these are real people who struggle with things also. Unfortunately some people don't take steps like that and kids are just crushed when their heroes fall.

Let's hope and pray that his upbringing, parents and family keep him on the right path and he is not seduced by the dazzle.
AND, I hope he has a dang good investment counselor and a lawyer who has his best interests in mind.

That is true too. I heard the other day that Dwight "Doc" Gooden made over $30 million over his playing career and he is very close to flat broke. Of course Doc did a lot of drugs, so I'm sure that didn't help. But it is still a shame :(

We older folks know how people that we put up on pedestals can fall off. Teenagers have a hard time with that. After all perfect people don't fall. It is a rude awakening to some. :(
