What a weekend the Mrs and I had. What a tragedy for the shuttle to break apart. Had it not been for that, our weekend would have been picture perfect. We stayed at a cabin right up the mountain at Pigeon Forge, TN and here's the cabin.

And here's the view we had. We never left the cabin all weekend. Hot tub till midnight and then...:)

Looks great Buckaroo! We could use a little R&R too. But we'll get some when the kids go to college I guess:eek:

Sound like you and the Mrs had a wonderful time...

;)

What a view!
I love Pigeon Forge, TN I haven't been down there in several years

This is the first time for us to visit that place. Pigeon Forge reminded us more of Myrtle Beach with all the stuff they had there. Gatlinburg was more like the mountain village. As I said, we didn't go anywhere, so we didn't spend any money. We had rented a couple of movies to watch, but other than that, and watching a little TV, we just rested our weary bones. We probably spent at least six hours in the hot tub out on the deck, most of that was under the cover of darkness. Ah, we didn't bring any bathing suits, so ... :) This place was so great and the price was better than staying at any hotel/motel. Cheaper than a bed and breakfast too and much more private. The whole time we were there, we never actually saw another person. We did hear a few voices from afar and could see automobiles down in the valley, but that's all. We are now ready to face the work load tomorrow. Did I really say that? :(

Buck, it sounds wonderful. Such a pretty place.

Next time, don't forget your suit, I wouldn't want you to catch a cold.;) :p

Tell you what, Friday night it was pretty cold out there in the hottub. While the body was nice and cozy, the head got pretty cool. The steam would rise from the hottub and the wind would blow it into your face. Had to keep the shoulders in the water or they would get cold. Saturday night was perfect and no clouds in the sky or wind. It was perfect. Oh, and when you stay at this place, you don't need a suit. Who's gonna see you anyway? :)

A picture is worth a thousand words. I've been to the Smokies and they're beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

Hey CB,

Those voices you heard................ that was me yellin' to the Mrs. to go back to the car and get the video camera. :D

C'mon Guido, we know your voice. I think they were saying something like, where's the binoculars? :) BTW, I know you won't be down Tona way next weekend, but after the big todo, will you be hauling anything down there for the big dance?

Buck, you shoulda stopped by. Just about an hour past there for you.

We spent a weekend over the summer, in Gatlinburg on Ski Mountain. The Chalet was nice and the view was gorgeous. Now that we bought the house we have the view right out the front door. Yesterday they were so pretty, they were snow capped.

Looks like a beautiful place, and too bad you had to spoil the view.
Good Lord, nude buckaroo:heehee:

Guido, good thing you disguised your voice and got those pics:)

I mentioned that to you last week sometime Star that we would be heading out that way, but I guess you missed it. Anyway, there wasn't any snow anywhere to be found this weekend. Had there been snow where we were, we'd have never gotten up the road. It was very steep. A couple of times I had to get out of the Jeep to see where to turn. Of course going down the mountain was very easy. Just glad we didn't meet anyone coming or going. It was a very narrow road.

Kat, I've known Guido for a long time and I know his voice from anywhere. He can't fool me! :) Besides, if he'd been there, he couldn't have stopped talking long enough to take pictures. :D The first time I met him, we talked to long he was late for work. I think he still blames me for that one. Right Guido? :)

Buckster, you still spoiled the view:p as would I.:p
Thanks for the 2003 calendar:D

Well, at least you're not naked! You can deliver mail in my neighborhood without fear:D

Don't know yet. I have to call in tomorrow and find out if they want me to haul anything down there.

I know they are leaving on Tuesday and they may have found another driver because they didn't want to interrupt my plans for next weekend. I should know something in the next day or two.

I decided not to do the show car this year. Right now, I'm scheduled to haul the stage to the Miami and Phoenix IRL races. Would like to do some NASCAR races....... believe it or not, Daytona is one of the few tracks that I haven't been to yet.

No problem there, CB! I had a lot of freedom on that job.
Sure don't miss it though. Just the money. :D
