There were many ups and downs for my this year, but I've gotten a lot more respect for several drivers, teams and others. First off, much congratulations to Jimmie Johnson for a phenominal year. He and Chad really got my attention this year and I'm tickled for the two of them. JPM, what can you say. He came in with very little seat time, saying that he was racing to win, not to learn. He did just that and got my respect as well. I may not root for him, but he is certainly a top shelf driver, in any car. I've always liked Matt Kenseth, but just so so, but he too has become such a presence in NASCAR that you can't over look him.

Now, it's time for a new season with drivers in different cars, different cars, and who knows what sort of rules changes. Can't wait.

As much as it pains me to say:
Congrats to Jimmie Jo, team, and fans.

I believe I stated once before, we are probably seeing one of the great teams in Nascar with Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus.

As for Jeff, he had a phenomenol year with 30 top 10 finishes.

And Tony, that was a prstty 'smart" remark he made........lets see if you can fix it now. I have always considered Tony one of the best drivers but I really lost a lot of respect for him.

I missed it. What did Tony say?
Great year by the way. I wanted Gordon to win it but it was fun.

Tony spun out and hit the wall and told his crew......."Lets see if you can fix it now".

Things like this are why I like Stewart. Ya never know what he's going to say. There are WAY too many drivers that say the same thing week after week, and have become so predictable. Can't stand to hear these guys get out of the car (or over the radio) and say the same boring speeches all the time. Even after a crash, "well, the so-and-so car was running great today, and I'm proud of my guys, and....blah blah blah...." Stewart may never be politically correct, but at least he brings some flavor to it. He's gonna say what's on his mind, right or wrong.

That's why I like Tony, too! He cracks me up because he says what he wants to say, except for when he gets spanked too hard by Nascar and has to be a good boy for a bit. LOL I have to say though, they never play his in-car radio when he ALWAYS calls Zippy, SIR or when they're joking with one another. I also know a lot of people who have met the guy on and off the track and they all say he's a really nice guy. Besides... isn't the sanitizing of Nascar what everyone is complaining about?

it's over ???

who is jimmie johnson ??
i thought jeff gordon was leading the points by like a million or something

Hey, don't go short changing David Reutimann. He had a phenomenal year too with 10 top 30 finishes... :D
