I do not know what we are going to do yet. I thought about lighting a couple candles in in the window but I'm worried the cats will knock them over. We may just be as Patriotic as possible.

Wear Red, White and Blue American Flag shirt over a patriotic tshirt, drive with my lights on, keep the porch lights on and fly the Flag at half mast.

My best friend lives an hour and a half from me, and she lives about that same distance from NYC. We were going to try to go up there for the different ceremonies but my terminal mgr has been in a bear of a mood the last 2 weeks and won't let me have a personal day. I've called in once and that was back in '99. I'm tempted to do it again on the 11th......... either way, I'll be as patriotic as I can be.

In all honesty, I'd like to be as far away from NYC as possible on the first anniversary of 9/11. I'm hoping my company will give everyone the day off so I don't even have to come into the city. I'd like to catch the ceremonies, but frankly don't want to contribute to the mass of people who will undoubtedly show up.

If I do wind up staying home, I'll blast patriotic music all day to irritate my less than friendly neighbors, many of whom are middle eastern. I'll watch the ceremonies on television and probably cry all day, like I did for a week after last September 11th.

Not to sound wierd but do anybody think it could happen again on the 11st, just somewhere else.
