I searched and don't see an abortion thread here, so here's one.

I am kind of a mix between pro-life and pro-choice. If the choice wasn't given to the woman at the time she became pregnant (i.e. rape, incapacitation and submission, or some other form of unwanted impregnation), then I feel it is the choice of the woman whether she wants to get an abortion or not. But it should be done as soon as she finds out she's pregnant, not wait until the end of the pregnancy and then decide she doesn't want it.

If the pregnancy was the result of a "ladies night out", so to speak, then by going at it unprotected, she has already made the choice that she's going to raise a baby.

What are your opinions about this, and why do you have them?

My opinion is, I am eternally grateful Mom didn't have one.

I really don't think this forum is the right place to discuss this issue. WAY too personal IMHO.

Fury, I would have to say I agree with you for the most part. But, I have a hard time with murder any way it is justified. I also see where someone could get very upset by views expressed in this thread. But, as a red-blooded American I would fight to the end for you or anybody's right to discuss it. Even if I didn't agree with it. I would hope that anyone who can't discuss this rationally (perhaps without a guilty concience for their opinion) would use their God-given gift of thought and not dwell here.

i will tell my opinion to any one that will listen i guess thats why i am always in trouble for my mouth, i am pro-choice, me and my mom argue over the rape isssue, the way i see it is that life is a miracle in any form and to kill the child is murder, if for some reason you can not take care of the shild then you should give it up for adoption, there are plenty of people that want kids but cant have them, if your fooling around and get pregnant then that was a mistake you will have to live with and eventually have to tell your spouse anyways if you want a healthy relationship

As long as there are parents out there wanting kids and cant have them and theres a such thing is adobtion I will never think abortion is right.

But, I have a hard time with murder any way it is justified.
As do I, nobody should even have the ability to murder a child even if it is in the very earliest stages of development (e.g. by the time pregnancy is detectable). But then again, nobody should have the ability to rape or incapacitate and take advantage of a woman either. That's where the line gets confusing, cause the woman can only pick from murdering, or risking death delivering a baby who was forcibly impregnated into her. That's a HELL of a choice to make, and it's not within my power nor do I even want to have the power to judge them in what they choose to do in these kinds of cases. It's hard enough making either choice without getting bitched at from either side of the abortion argument

the baby is actually alive it has some sences just not all. Its not like the baby has no sences or anything until the day of birth.Dont punish the baby for something someone else did.

But what if having the baby causes the mother to die? Don't punish the mother for something someone else did...

I understant that totally. But, the risk of death by delivering a baby is microscopic at this point. With medical advances the way they are, you have almost as good of a chance dying from getting an abortion (yes, it does happen more often than they want you to know) than you do having a normal childbirth.

Someone here didn't this is something that should be discussed here. I agree nor in any fourm of Gov. or political debate or anything else you can bring up.

This something that should be left to the parents or mother and should be between their Lord, them selves and their Doctor.
No one else matters.

As a former fetus - I'm against it. Glad I've never had one myself.
