What are your pet peeves when people talk to you?

I can't stand when people call the "emergency room" the ER room, isn't that what R in ER stands for.

I also hate when people say "2am in the the morning" Isn't that what "am" means? DOH...

I hate it when people tell me that I don't smell very good. How did they know I have a plugged up nose?

I'm with ya on the "like" thing too. My brother-in-law is 19 years old and he says like just about every other word. It drives me nuts. One of the few bright spots about getting fired is he used to work with me and I had to deal with that all day

I can't stand when people have to be right in your face to talk to you and touching you. One of my Girl Scout mom's is like that and I can't stand it."hello I can hear just fine you don't have to be right in my face".

My sister is bad about saying "You know it?" at the end of her conversation making you answer her whether you're are interested in what she's talking about or not..

I'm with you on the touching part. I have a friend that thinks he has to touch you to talk to you. Keep your hands off me and say what you have to say.

For example: Don't say: I looked for my keys,walked down the hall searching for my purse,looked for my shoes,walked across the den,opened the front door,walked outside and ......

just say: I shut off my car alarm.

say what u have to say and get to the point fast before u loose my attention.

I hate it when people say "I have to tell you something.."
Your sitting there, thinking to yourself.. "ok.. lets hear it.."
Then they go "Oh I cant!!! I just cant!" and they keep on and on about it..

Damn that drives me up a wall..

I agree with that!! I also hate it when people repeat themselves many times and half the time they don't even change their word order..

I hate it when people can not have the courtousy to use your name when trying to get your attention. Hey moveman does not cut it. I'll drive right past them. I also hate it when people try to be friendly when I can't stand them.
