Im just curious as to what cell phone you fellow race fans have. I am currently using a Motorola Z8 phone now. I just ordered a Motorola Q 9e phone and its on the way, I cant wait. Both of these phones are unlocked. My current carrier is Cingular (AT&T).

Here is a pic of my new Moto Q..

I have a simple phone that just makes/receives calls. LOL

No texting, no pics, no 'net access --- just phone calls. Cell phone access is somewhat limited out here in the sticks.

Just got a Motorola RAZR2 V9x. Upgraded, so I got it for $100.
GPS, Music, Where 2.0, Pix, Flix, TV, Web, etc.

I have Verizon and a Razor. I am ready for a upgrade. I think I want a lg vx8350. Anyone have one? If so how do you like it?

Samsung M300 with Sprint.

No idea of the phones capabilities, only use it for talking occasionally.

I have one, tk. I've been using it about two months and it has great battery life and it's worked fine for me. I basically just wanted a phone for a phone, no texting, etc., so I picked this one. The only problem I have is with the bluetooth headset I bought to go with it which was just one they had hanging on a rack. I have trouble with it turning on if I want to carry it in my purse or somewhere and running the battery down. So in a way, I sort of wish I had gone for the one which came with the bluetooth and stores it in the back of the phone. That's my only complaint though.

I've gotten my best reception for years with Verizon. I had Cingular/ATT first and it didn't work in a lot of places, so that's why I switched to Verizon. My daughter (who is the one I switched carriers for so it would work at her college) now has gone back to Cingular/Att with her husband's family plan. She has problems dropping calls at her house or not have reception in certain spots and I get it fine in the same place with my Verizon. I tease her all the time about dumping her family for her husband's. LOL

That is the phone I want. I can't decide if I want that color or the red. I don't use the blue tooth so that won't be a problem. I like it most because it is clam shaped when you open it and not straight.

Yeah, it seems like these styles of phone are being over-taken by the other types. I got a free Samsung at the time for my son which is similar, but not quite as "fancy." Personally, I've had my best luck with LG phones and they guy told me that's what they all use.

I did think of one thing, which you may or may not care about. My last LG had a better variety of ring tones to choose from and I could pick different ones for say my son, my daughter, friends, etc. These ringtones are more basic and don't give you some of the options I had before of versions of popular songs, sonatas, etc. Speaking of my son's phone, it has some ring tones that sound like the old-fashioned phone ringing on the wall. It still always throws me when he gets a call. LOL

I ended up being a fan of flip phones to answer calls since when we had our first ones, the stupid thing would call people on my speed dial in my purse. One night it somehow called my daughter and she had a nice voice mail of her cheerleading squad at a game. LOL I have enough trouble getting ahold of where my phone has disappeared to in my purse and answer on time without having to unlock it. LOL The case on this new one needs to be stretched out some - it's not like the old one I had where you just pressed on a lever and clipped it on anywhere you wanted it.

 you dont support Jeff?

I suported Kasey, Robby, Clint, Jamie, and Kenseth a little too much latly! haha...ok back to cell phones.
at&t sucks in Virginia, DC and Maryland.

Actually, part of Northern Virginia, Verizon is the only phone service that works.

I'm retired. You want to contact me, call my house. I might answer or if not you can leave a message. I may or may not return it.
I spent 20+ years on the road, I called the office at 8 and 11 am and again at 3 pm. Business got done.
I see no reason for having to be in constant communication 24/7.

Yeah, I never could understand those that call home as they're walking out the door and stay talking all the way to work. And even ride up the elevator. Me thinks if they spent this much effort on communicating when they were together they wouldn't feel the need to for all this talk when they are out of each other's sight...

None, and damn proud of it. If you want to talk to me ... wait til I get there. If it's important, you'll remember it. If you don't, well then, it sure wasn't important enough to waste my time with in the first place now, was it?

I have an LG Voyager via Verizon.

I just got the LG Voyager Titanium. Don't like the touchscreen but it has the enhanced web browser that the EnV doesn't. Every other phone was either a classic flip phone with no keyboard or was an iphone clone (touchscreen only). This phone's the perfect median for me. Works well.

Plus I get a 15% discount with verizon and I'm supporting Penske Racing.

I picked up an LG Vu on the 50% off sale right before i came back to school. My friend has an iphone and is jealous of me....

What? Speek Sparky....I got to hear this...
Wait until you take it off the charger one morning and it don't work and Apple wants you to spend hundreds of dollars for you to get the battery replaced. :p

Yes, the iPhone is cool - but it is also completely and 100% proprietery. If my phone breaks, I can go right up to verizon HQ in the Dorf and have it fixed or swapped out same day. With the iPhone, AT&T will tell you how to send it back to Apple.

Oh, and wait until that touchscreen locks up and you have no way to reboot the phone because you can't pull a battery out.

I thought about the iPhone but heard the horror stories from friends and co-workers who have or had an iPhone.

My wife just got herself an LG Decoy Limited Edition...

That's the one I wish I got after having trouble with keeping my bluetooth headset somewhere where I won't forget it or it won't turn on because it got bumped around carrying it and use up the battery. I never had bluetooth before, so I didn't know it would be such a problem. With that phone I could just put the ear piece in the back and it would charge when I charged the phone.

Just added a phone for my hubby and I could have gotten one, but all he wants is the basic to check in with family whether he needs to pick someone up or not. It would have been a pain to order it and then switch all the numbers around. So he got a Samsung "something" and they put the new number on it before they sent it and we just had to activate it.

tk - Did you ever get the lg vx8350? If so, how do you like it?

my roomate (iphone v 1) has had more than one of those problems. He just lets it run dead until it resets itself.

I know people that have some of the ones that 1st came out and have no problems with them. I found battarys for hardly nothing and know a guy that can put them in. I love mine. A few things i dont like but its not big deal.

Mine is the titanium version, too. I have a Body Glove cover on it, tho........so it looks black.

Got rid of my AT&T plan and just got a cheap pay as you go phone. Decided we were wasting way too much money on all the bells and whistles of a pricey cell phone.
