Here kitty, kitty, kitty
I definately thought this race was better than the last one here, from the standpoint of a fan. The coverage left a lot to be desired...what happened to Johnson? I saw him in the top ten, fading, but still running well. Next time I saw him, he was two laps down. Maybe I missed what they said about him. Don't know if the tires were a problem at this track, I did hear from Kahne's crew that he blistered the right front after the first 80 laps, but after that, didn't have any more problems.
The new layout with the progressive banking in the turns seems to be coming in well and the drivers are now using it okay. Kind of miss the old style when a driver almost had to bump the guy in front to pass, but I think those days are gone forever.
Why is it that the guy who leads the most laps, can't seem to win the race. Even if Tony hadn't been spun, he was clearly not going to win at the end, and Hamlin, go figure. And Kyle...reminded me of a guy in the past who spun while leading. Won't even go there.
All in all, I was pretty entertained with this race and while it wasn't as exciting as the races at Bristol have been in the past, it was pretty good.
