What do you do for a race fan who is 33 and about to die?

A few days ago I heard from a friend that somebody I know has brain cancer. He's not the closets friend. He's not the greatest guy in the world. But he's somebody I know, he's been a Biffle fan for years. It's tearing me up. It's all just hitting me now. I didn't know it would weigh on me so much.

Whenever Johnson would have a bad day, this guy would call me, and rub it in.

He's young, just had a daughter last year.

Has a woman he loves.

He even moved from his home to Montana so she would be happy.

AND BAM. Brain cancer.

I want to do somthing for this guy. But I don't know what. His close friends had a benefit for him and raised more than $20,000.

This is all very new for me. So if there is somebody out there, give me an idea.

I thought hey! I will get together some money to send him to homestead. That's dumb, he probably wants every cent and every minute he has for his kid and woman.

Sincerely,

MoeJoe

That's a tough one and I am sorry to hear the news. You may get a great suggestion appropriate for a Biffle fan, but if you are close enough just to be a good friend that may be the best gift you could offer.

The guy is not only hurting physically and he may not be able to convey the gratitude, but if I was in his shoes I think having some good friends would mean the most to me (aside from the monetary needs of his surviving family).
Best wishes do your best, just realize we are human and we can't control much, be sure to give your credit for doing all you can.

One more Biffle note: Maybe you could call Rouschs front office, and tell them what you posted here. Or maybe his fan club Web Site has a contact person, sometimes that person will have a way to contact the person of interest.
I don't tweeter but Biffle probably has an account, if so I would inform him there.

BIFF is probably 100 percent about HOMESTEAD this week, but he seems like a decent guy, maybe he would contribute to the cause himself.

Greg's idea is a good one. Someone in RFR might be able to get something for/to him.

Aside from that, there isn't much you can do for the guy except to let him know that you care.
I have been in your shoes. It sucks.
While it's difficult now, try to determine the most appropriate way to honor his time on Earth and do that.
The fact that you care enough to post this here says alot, MoeJoe!

I would concur on the RFR contact. They always talk about the drivers seeing the ill, so trying can't hurt. Obviously they can't do everything, but don't know till ya try.

In these sad circumstances distance is no barrier,
we feel your pain down under.
Hang in there Mo.
