what do you want to see? The popular thing to say today is that you want to see good racing. Tell the truth. Just respond to the poll. You do not have to leave a message. The question is, do you get excited when cars wreck?

if i had a choice, i would love side by side racing all day long, the only time i like to see a caution (note didnt say wreck) is to bunch the feild up, i went to bristol this march and i was actually getting mad during the busch race cause there was so many cautions

Looks like the overwhelming majority of people like to see the wrecks.

Not really surprised to be honest.

The best day for me watching a race is when the 29 and the 8 wreck each other out of the race !!!!!!!!

Heck! I don't even care who wins the race !!!!

When these two kids wreck I am very happy !!!!!!

I don't want them to get hurt but I do like it when they are off the track and out of contention! The funny thing is that these 2 usually do wreck and they are ALWAYS the cause of their own demise. No one else EVER wrecks them!!!!!

LOL :)

I guess I'm one of the minority that actually enjoys good racing with no wrecking. Some of the best races I've ever seen were the Talladega races that were run clean and green.

Wrecks make me sick to my stomach -- and it doesn't matter who is involved.

I'll admit that when they wreck, I get excited. By know means do I want to see anybody get hurt. I just think that there is a certain animal instinct to watch a wreck. No matter what it is politically correct to say. I think most people watch racing for the close calls,(you can call it close racing if you want) and or wrecks.I know that when I was racing, the possibility of wrecking was some what part of the excitement for putting the time and effort into returning to the track. Not that I wanted to, I wanted to win, but it was always a possibility. I'd rather flip my car than to finish second.

If I had my drunthers the majority of races would be run on tracks under a half mile with a few 3/4's and one or two miles thrown in for good measure.

Would also like to see a few figure eight chain races. They just don't get no better than figure eight chains.

Well, the Outlaws on dirt are pretty cool.

I love close racing and occasional wrecks to make it more intersting. But I'm of course always concerned about driver safety, nobody wants to witness a wreck where a person dies or gets seriously injured.

Watching Jeff Purvis get creamed at Nazareth was a shocking experience, I'm glad that he will be alright. I didn't want to see a driver die right at my home track. I wasn't even thinking about whether the wreck was cool or not, I was just concerned about him being alright.

And I'll admit it, that when they wreck I get POed and a few expletives pop out of my mouth.

Windsor

I love an exciting race, with or without wrecks. But I do have to admit that, wrecks do cause a little adrenalin rush but also prayers to those involved for their safety. I did not vote YEH.
I was really upset today when Ward got wrecked, and DANGEROUS or stupid aggression does not belong in any sport let alone in motorsports.

LOL    :)

am i wrong of did this happan this year?

is that where Jr hit the wall headon and was hurt?

my friends g/f said that wreck was cool. it pissed him and me off.

I like close racing, I don't really like the wrecks. I cheer more when a guy recovers from getting loose or gets close to wrecking but does not wreck. I do not cheer when someone wrecks.

I agree with coonhound. I cheer when they save it, but when there are big wrecks I do cheer, cause I find it exciting to see twenty cars go spinning out of control. I definitely can't wait for the "big one" this weekend at Talladega.

Only to the idiot.

To me, seeing the cars moving around the track is proof that there is a race.

I seriously can't believe so many people are actually admitting that they love wrecks.

NASCAR will always be thought of the way it's thought of now...:(

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching the racing and watching all the racing and passing that goes on. But if they wreck as long as its just a nice spin, it doesn't hurt anyone, so it's all good.

Hey, I love watching racing. But sometimes I enjoy a wreck b/c it changes the complexion of the race.

Bunches the cars back up together to make passes, puts a new driver up front sometimes, changes the strategy.

Plus I still think wrecks are cool, so sue me. As long as no one gets hurt, let'em wreck.

Closing racing is always a big thrill for me. I think the parts of wrecks that is the thriller is seeing cars slip and then seeing if they can save it or not. If they can save it WOW, if not it is a big shame to see them wreck.

I don't like seeing race cars ruined. Whenever there is a big wreck at Taladega or Daytona I think "Holy s#!t, I hope everyone is ok."

paul didn't you know this is a family sport oops I ment majority.

Like I said its a big shame when they do wreck but it does happen. And when I start to see a wreck I want the best to happen and see them recover.

When you see the wreck happen, it's already too late to see anybody save it, it's just who can get through the pileup that is about to happen.

No not really give me a pit strategy race and ill take those everyweek. And the side by side action like when Harvick and Gordon went at it at Atlanta last year those are the best.

I don't like the wrecks, but in the close racing there are going to be wrecks. Wrecks do change the strategies for some drivers left on the track. When the wrecks happen, just like kat, I pray that everyone is okay. I never wish anyone to be harmed in any wreck no matter who is involved. When you have 43 cars wanting the same real estate, you are going to have several factors(driving ablility, tempers, etc) that play into getting to that same real estate. It's just a part of racing that we have to watch along with the race. JMHO

:leap: We need to look at the question one more time. DO YOU GET EXCITED WHEN CARS WRECK. It didn't say that you wanted to then to crash. But wrecks happen. Now I belive that we all get a little excited when they do. Doesn't mean that we arn't concerned about the driver.

Option A doesn't have the "driver saftey" added to it. So I'm assuming that a vote for option A is a vote for wanting to see wrecks without regard for driver safety.

When I started watching racing about 15 years ago I was excited about the wrecks. Now that I've matured and mingled amongst the drivers and talked to them I appreciate the racing. They're people. I don't look forward to accidents anymore.

Well I never have been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed Paul.:D

But here is the way I look at it. When folks go near the edge every now and then somebody goes over. If nobody ever goes over the edge is anybody really close to it?

Wrecks prove (at least to us idiots) that there is an actual race going on.

People do risky moves to get ahead in the races and to me its interesting, sometimes unfortunately it results in a wreck...

U should have asked how many fans like it when the #24 wrecks, that's would have been an interesting stat,LMAO!U can always hear a lot of cheers when the #24 has a problem(save maybe Indy & CA. tracks)IMO!

some people dont express there true feelings either because they dont feel like hearing what other people have to say .....
