What do you think of the new Pontiac G8?
I am strongly considering a black gt w/ sunroof verson.

From what i read in Road and Track it seems like a pretty decent car. Good response and handling, not sure i like the looks of it, seems all the pontiacs pretty much look the same, kind of generic looking. Main thing is though they gave a good review.

we had one as a rental for a week when we were on vacation.

DON"T BUY ONE !!!

the gas mileage sux, the handling ain't that good, my toyota handles better, as for response the one we had wouldn't fall out of a tree without a push.
i understand it was a rental but but if i was looking to buy one that experience would have definitely changed my mind !!

Do plenty of research on the internet. You should get a good unbiased opinion there, but you have to look at more than just a couple of sites. When I was looking for a car, I asked about the Dodge Stratus and some of the members here gave it terrible reviews. The internet gave it so so reviews, but I bought it anyway. I love that little car, so it just goes to show that my own opinion is quite different than most others. Buying a car is a crap shoot at best, so all you can do is research, test drive and go with what you like. One never knows when you will buy a lemon.
