I know this is rather kindergarten-ish, but I was curious. Some of them are obvious, but other aren't - at least not to me. I don't want to list the ones that really make me wonder, because I don't want to leave anyone out or offend anyone ---

I will start, although mine should be fairly obvious:

:leap: Gollum is a creature from the books Lord of the Rings. If you have read the books or seen the movie you know who he is. If not it is sorta hard to explain.
 
RockChalk is derived from the chant of the University of Kansas - which I attended a few moons ago.
