Yeah he does one on one interviews on MAV TV. It's an awesome show. He did one a couple weeks ago with Parnelli Jones that was fun to watch.

Dave is an outsider, probably has to much of a brain, and honesty to be in Nascar's mainstream.

Fox Sports screwed him when Speed left. Instead of riding side saddle to the UFC, Dave said, "**** you!" Guy is brilliant. Fox Sports is not.

Dave sure knows his stuff about racing but I see him more as an open wheel fan and not NASCAR. For that reason I've never been a fan of his. That and the move that Speed made to replace Allen Bestwick with Dave Dispain in 2005 was the end to one of the best shows on television about NASCAR outside of the race broadcasts themselves. It totally changed the format of the show to the point the it never recovered. So, for this fan, I haven't missed him but I wish him well.

When I first heard him , he seemed to turn up his nose at Nascar . Later , when Nascar became a large part of his job (and his audience) I thought he became a reluctant convert. Same can be said for quite a few ESPN reporters ,who really didn't think that Nascar warranted being the lead story on Sports Center.

Agree 100%.

I always found him to be somewhat annoying. Not to the level of a waltrip or Kenny wallace but still.

Fox Sports butchered a great channel when they converted Speed to FS1. I miss Wind Tunnel, the live at track Raceday's, and the Race Hub that was. Wind Tunnel was great when they allowed fan interaction; I really wished it was still around after the Kenseth tackle and the Harvick shove/Gordon-Keselowski team brawl this past season.

The most comparable network butchery that I know of is when G4 took over ZDTV. That was handled even worse than the switch to FS1, as hard as it is to believe.
