I'm tired of drivers whinning all the time....during the race Saturday night Waltrip was without a doubt spun out by Kyle Petty.....all of us know that crap like that happens all the time...its a product of racing as a fast as they do and as close as they do...accidents happen....Waltrip's comments afterwards pissed me off....some of these guys need to realize that other drivers are not out to get them everytime they get spun out...sometimes its just a racing accident.

Waltrip is not having a good year. (But, then what else is news). So he probably feels he has to lay the blame on someone other than himself and his team. It happens to a lot of guys.

Drivers have whined for years, nothing new. In his early years, DW was probably the biggest whiner there was.

When Waltrip (Michael) speaks, I my mute my sound. No interest in what he has to say one way or another. :p

What year did he have that was good??

Now I've never been a fan of Mikey's, so I won't try to build up his resume, but his wins at Daytona and Taladega have to be his wonder years. Before he was hired by Dale Earnhardt, Michael was nothing but a back marker in everything that he drove with a few flashes in the pan now and then. When he began driving the #15, his stock as a driver went way up, especially when he won the Daytona 500. However, with his leaving DEI and his subsequent finishes, it is obvious that it was his equipment, not his driving that gave him his best years of driving. But, we can't take away those years because he was in the seat of the car that did have some great runs.

Too true, buckaroo. Too true. But...............and you knew that was coming. LOL

Even at Daytona, didn't Jr help him????? And when Mikeyand JR finished 1st and 2nd when Dale met his maker, wasn't Dale blocking for them?????
I can't give Mikey much credit for talent. After he left DEI, here he is, right back to his old ways. Like you said, a "back marker".

Both of Waltrips Daytona wins were handed to him. Marlin had the best car on the track and was being blocked. Next time around Harvick had one of the best cars I've ever seen at Daytona but didn't get chance due to rain.

I seem to remember #8/15 bragging about how they could drive around watching the race on the big screen to which Harvick replied, " You tell 'em to keep watching 'cause the #29's coming"

Just an opinion, but why open up old news? IF Mikey were'nt Jaw's brother, he probably would have been just a "flash in the pan" in CUP.
Besides which, can anyone think of one driver who hasn't whined at some point or another?

Kat, you are 100% right about Jaws and Mikey. LOL Jaws was the biggest embarrassment to NASCAR in his "retirement year, I have ever seen in ANY sport!!!!
And just twix you and me and the gatepost, I can't stand Jaws at all!!!!!!!

Well i have to give Mikey a little credit here, he isn't exactly in the best equipment this year. Seems i remember Mikey being a good plate driver even before DEI, in fact i think that is why Dale Sr. picked him for his team. No doubt Mikey isn't in the uper tier of drivers, but he doesn't whine any more than Stewart, Johnson, or J. Gordon to name a few.
