First off, I think that we can all agree that if all we wanted to watch was "Omigawd that was close they almost wrecked lets go to the slo-mo replay to see who won" racing then we should all be watching the Indy Racing League.
My wife asks me each week that MS wins " is that real racing? " I try to explain that since the recent test at Barcelona where Ferrari introduced the saw tooth edge on thier barge boards they have been able to negate the .5 of a second that McLaren had picked up when they brought in the new Merc engine. The interesting part is that with the new Michelin compound being better suited to the Williams.....
It is at this point that I realise she has left the room. Any way, This is why I find F1 so interesting, that and as I have said before I love keeping track of the also rans.
I just can't stand to watch the first 450 miles of a 500 lap. I would also like to point out that about 43 of the 45 lead changes in a Nascar race mean nothing. Make the races 1 1/2 tanks of fuel long, run two heats, use a comman template then make NO CHANGES if someone starts to kick butt. Get rid of all the those 1.5 mile clones and I will be there every week instead of just california, michigan and bristol.
and just one note about the race on tv...aaarrgghhh please no more Danny Sullivan.....hire a profesional announcer to intro the Red Bull team.
