What is the "rule" for this?

Isn't performing any pit duties while the car is not in it's assigned pit box, a penalty?

At Pocono, during the splash-n-go stops, it seemed that almost every car was still receiving fuel as they continued forward into the next pit.

Why do they let that slide or am I wrong?

Good question. Anybody have the official word on this?

I may be wrong about this, but I believe the official ruling is that no equipment may leave the assigned pit box. The car can start through the next box as long as the equipment stays in the box and is removed from the car and doesn't cross the line.

I think a car was penalized today for taking the catch can from their pit stall. The car had stalled and the catch can man was carrying it as he pushed the car down pit road. That's a violoation.

But a car can begin to drive out of he box with he gas can attached as long as the gas can( or other equipment) doesn't leave the box.

Did anyone notice the pit stop by Sterling Marlin on or about lap 85 ?? It looked as if he ran over his air hose when exiting the pit. Got a tape of it?? Take a looksee. :D
