The three juveniles, accused of shooting 14 cats over the weekend in Afton, were taken into custody Thursday morning following a brief court appearance.
The juveniles will be held in juvenile detention until a court hearing on Monday, February 28th.
Robin Quillen, Director of Ferral Friends of Greene County, was caring for the cats.
According to Quillen, the juveniles drove up to her property and fired shots at the cats from their vehicle.
12 of the 14 cats either were killed or were euthanized due to their injuries.
The other two are still receiving care.
The investigation is continuing by the Greene County Sheriff's Department.
