What Jeff thought of the tires at ATL

Maybe he was just saying that even Jeff was complaining about the tires?

Just because someone posts about Gordon doesn't mean its a negative one....

What's your point? We all have bad days and say things we shouldn't. Nobody ever said Jeff was a saint just one heck of a race car driver.

I bet that if Jeff was still married to Brooke he wouldn't be talking like that. :XXROFL:

Ol' Jeffy sure has grown up the last few years. :D

:XXROFL:

Go Jeff! :beerbang:

Goodyear needs to pull the eff out. It seems every week every driver's complaining about those tires.

I dont think they need to pull out...i think thats a huge mistake...I do however think nascar should let the teams decide who provides the tires that go on their cars.

Competition is a good thing, and it appears that Goodyear needs some of it.

Nascar needs to get over the exclusivity mentality, its not good for the sport...only good for their pockets.

If nascar keeps heading in the direction they are going, we are going to see them providing the cars to the teams and not letting them work on them at all.

Jeff Gordon: Stewart went "overboard" in complaints
A day after Tony Stewart assailed Goodyear for the tires it provided at Atlanta Motor Speedway, three other drivers echoed his complaints -- but without the same venom.

I think he went a little overboard," four-time series champion Jeff Gordon said. "He kind of made it personal."

Some people tell it like it is and some hide behind the curtain. Jeff obviously had more to say about the tires than he did in his "official" comments.

I love the audio. I guess because he is so polite on camera that hearing him get bent out of shape about his car cracks me up.

I've learned that Goodyear has made a decision about the tires they are bringing to Texas next month.

They will NOT bring the Atlanta brick. The tire will be almost the same exact tire they ran at Texas all last year.

Wonder if Goodyear officials made an "executive decision" after hearing the squeaky wheels. LOL

Jeff always talks like that when he is upset with his car. I listen to him on the scanner all the time at the races.

sorry, didn't mean it to seem like I was slamming Jeff. I actually tolerate him now that he's older.

Just wanted to show that even a 4 time champ was complaining about the tires... and the 'new' car.

I didn't see it like that. I thought it was great that even Gordon, who does not like to make waves, was very upset about the tire situation.

No big deal.

It was all peaches, cream and Grandma's apple pie last season when HMS was winning every other race...looks like the shoes on the other foot so far this year.

It got somewhat tense around here the year that J.R. put 5 cars in the chase so it's nothing new.

:)

Hey Patrick just remember it's early in the year. Things could change and things could stay the same. Either way it's fun watching races.:)
