Imagine this, NASCAR took another race date from somewhere or decided to add more race dates in the schedule to torture our favorite drivers more. Now with those race dates, I think fans are beginning to get tired of the usual track rotation they see every year and the content of the racing in some of those tracks (cough*cough Homestead, California, Chicagoland, New Hampshire, Pocono *cough*). Well, I took it upon myself to ask y'all this question: Which kind of track would you like to see more in NASCAR racing ?

If you're basically a newbie or havin a hard time makin up your minds. Here are some examples

Superspeedways - Daytona and Talldega. Range over 2.5 miles in length and feature plenty banking, also feature the restrictor plate.

Speedways - California, Michigan, Las Vegas and Texas and other tracks. Range from 1.0 to 2.0 miles (2.5 for Pocono, excluded from being a Superspeedway)

Short Tracks - Bristol, Richmond, Phoenix Martinsville. Range from 0.5 to 1.0 miles. Feature lots of bumping.

Road Courses - Infineon Raceway and Watkins Glen International. Feature lots of turns, left and right, know what I mean. When you think Road course, you dont have to think of some pavement and grassland or sandpits. You can think big like maybe Monaco in F1 or think a street course in Manhattan.

I'd like to see another road added to the schedule like Road America or Road Atlanta or maybe the Indy road course( instead of the brickyard 400). I would also like more short tracks. But really anything but these boring cookie cutter tracks. I'm getting so sick of watching follow the leader, aero push, whoever's leading can't be passed racing.(Although if NASCAR would try that spoiler and softer tire thing they were talking about at the beginning of this year it might get better.) If they were to take Talladega and Daytona off the schedule and replace with better superspeedways where you don't need restrictor plates, I'd like that, but no more plate tracks.

I would love to see a road course or a track like the old Trenton Speedway with some elevation change or a dog leg in it to make it interesting.

Personally I would love to see the old Atlanta track design back. Bring on some true ovals, the triovals are basically boring. Get somthing that gets the drivers back into driving the tracks. Maybe put a dogleg in the backstrecth at Talledega. I'm editing this because redrock and I had the same idea about doglegs. I like your thinkin redrock lmao.

I voted Short Tracks, but I could take more of those, and more superspeedways.

Short tracks!

I just love feeling that those guys are about half a second away from crashing the entire race....and yet some of the guys actually able to keep racing to the finish!

Maybe I'm just an adrenaline junkie....

I think short tracks are the most exciting, but too much of anything gets boring after awhile (think of being on an all-chocolate diet, lolol). With that in mind, I have to like some of the ideas people are coming up with for doglegs etc., which could make things a lot more interesting.

On the other hand, a street course through Manhattan would be pretty interesting, especially if we could get it to pass my office building...that would be worth coming to work on the weekend! Of course, all I can picture is the cab drivers standing around going, "they call that racing?!?" :D I guess that would have to be my favorite idea, because then Pocono wouldn't be the nearest track to my house! :)

I voted for road courses, but short tracks are right up there IMO also for the most exciting racing, the voting seems to be reflecting this view also! ;)

Piss on the cookie-cutter tracks & RP races IMO! :D

Road courses or short tracks. Would like to see atleast 2 more road course dates or tracks.

The new Homestead track is basically a replica of the old Atlanta track.

Id like to see either a short track or a road course. Maybe some type of combo short track/road course would be the ideal option, although I doubt Nascar would race on a track like that.

I think the ideal thing to do would be to add 2 road courses and 2 more short tracks.

The road courses would be the indy road couse and Mid Ohio.

A short track somewhere out west would be a good place to go, or in New York...

I vote for the super speedways. Build one that gets rid of the plates and let the cars "run". NASCAR keeps working to slow them down, why not build a track that lets them run.

I'd like to see some more short track racing in the range of 5/8-1.0 mile tracks. I see nothing wrong with the Super speedways, just find a way to race on them without the plates. As far as road courses go i could take them or leave them.

Build more tracks like Martinsville or Bristol. Why not try and ressurect one of the very historical tracks like Hickory?

I can't believe that nobody suggested a figure 8 :p
Hey,I think U've got something there,now that would be drama!LMFAO! :D

Bristol is my fav track so I went with short track. I think they are more exciting.

Thought I'd add a footnote to My earlier post,I do like Pocono as it's known as a roval, the superspeedway that drives like a road course, perhaps not best for the live audience there, but still great racing there IMO.

A street corse thru East LA. If you make a lap without having your race car put on blocks and striped you win.

ROTFLMAO :XXROFL:

I voted Road Course. I would love it if they would come to Mid-Ohio, that way I would actually be able to go to a NASCAR race... Pocono and Michigan are too far away.
